Vao is a Law Clerk at Sutcliffe Matson Law, an Auckland law firm specialising in property and conveyancing, family law, commercial law, and wills and estates. Working across a variety of practice areas, she supports the firm's lawyers and legal executives with a wide range of matters, helping keep files progressing smoothly and ensuring clients receive timely assistance when they need it.

Known for her organisation and willingness to help, Vao enjoys the variety that comes with her role and the opportunity to work alongside colleagues across the firm. Whether assisting with administrative tasks, client enquiries, or legal matters behind the scenes, she takes pride in being someone her team can rely on.

Before joining Sutcliffe Matson Law in 2021, Vao completed a degree in Social Work. Her interest in the legal profession developed through helping family members navigate legal matters, often acting as the bridge between lawyers and her family. That experience highlighted her strengths in communication, organisation, and supporting people through unfamiliar processes. Since joining the firm, she has continued to develop her skills and values the opportunities for growth and learning that come with working in law.

Outside the office, Vao enjoys spending time with family and making the most of her Sundays, which often begins with Mass and provides an opportunity to reflect and recharge for the week ahead. She also admits that a good workplace, supportive colleagues, and the occasional piece of chocolate go a long way towards brightening her day.
